The SIM lab is utilized by the EM Residnecy program every week.  Our weekly didactic sessions and skills labs are held at the SIM lab.  The Mercy Health Simulation Laboratory, located on the General Campus in Muskegon and established in 2010, is a training center that provides emergency care workers, educators and students an environment that simulates life-or death scenarios using computerized manikins and state-of-the-art technology. The facility’s simulated environments include a residential nursery, patient exam room, ICU, emergency room/trauma, medical/surgical room, residential living room, and ambulance. The lab also features four high-fidelity training manikins that function almost like humans; blinking, talking, breathing, and registering a blood pressure and heartbeat are some of their capabilities.
