“You are capable of more than you know. Choose a goal that seems right for you and strive to be the best, however hard the path. Aim high. Behave honorably. Prepare to be alone at times, and to endure failure. Persist! The world needs all you can give." - EO Wilson
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

MSU Affiliation
Our residency program is strongly affiliated with Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine Statewide Campus System providing significant benefits associated with a nationally renowned university.

State of the Art Sim Lab
The lab features four high-fidelity training manikins that function almost like humans; blinking, talking, breathing, and registering a blood pressure and heartbeat are some of their capabilities.
State of the Art Facility
Muskegon is home to a brand new, state of the art 10-story medical center with an Emergency Department boasting 67 beds. With over 100K annual ED visits and 1,200 trauma activations.

Madison Shindorf, MD
Seeing all age ranges and a wide range of disease processes was why I fell in love with EM. I chose Trinity Health Muskegon because I wanted to maximize my learning with unopposed procedures, in a sick population, with a high volume ED. For that reason, the 4 years was a plus in my book.

Garrett Clement, DO
This program had everything I was looking for: passionate educators, strong resident culture and camaraderie, a family-friendly attitude, procedural opportunities unopposed by anesthesia or surgical residents, an excellent EMR, exposure to a physician-owned EM group, and opportunities for moonlighting later on in training.

Cody Stewart, MD
Early exposure and opportunity to become proficient in a wide variety of procedures without residents from other specialties competing. Amazing, caring group of faculty and residents. Also, can't beat West Michigan summers!
