Nicholas Adams, MD

Medical School

  • Wayne State University School of Medicine

Hometown

  • Grand Blanc, Michigan

Why I chose this program

  • There is no better place than Muskegon to train. At the same time, it is both a vacation town on Lake Michigan and an underserved population. It is a community setting with academic affiliation. It has something for everyone.

Why I chose this program

  • It is important to me that I receive high-quality training in an environment where the faculty is as eager about teaching and furthering their own knowledge as the residents. During my interview, I was very impressed by the program leadership and felt that they were particularly excited about upcoming improvements to the program.

Christopher Mattson, DO

Medical School

  • Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine

Hometown

  • Muskegon, Michigan

Why I chose this program

  • I chose the Emergency Medicine Residency program in Muskegon because of the knowledgeable and supportive faculty and the large variety of clinical encounters. Muskegon being my hometown is another perk! The hospital is located within close proximity to Lake Michigan beaches, several state parks and Grand Rapids, offering many opportunities to maintain work-life balance.

Jordan Price, DO

Medical School

  • AT Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine

Hometown

  • Mesa, Arizona

Why I chose this program

  • I chose Emergency Medicine in Muskegon because I love the fast pace and variety of complaints the specialty throws at you. This allows me to utilize the entirety of my medical training in quick bursts spanning the spectrum from highly technical hands on procedures, to split second critical decision making often with incomplete information.

Robert Zehrung, DO

Medical School

Residency Training

Why I chose this program

  • I chose Muskegon for my training, as my number one pick, because the preceptors, nurses and residents were all easy to get along with and there were many opportunities to learn given the patient population I saw during my time there.
